OK, so first I have some catching up to do. First, on the way both the weekend before Irene and last weekend, we saw something pretty unusual. You know the old superstition, if the cows are laying down it's a sign of rain? Well, what do you make of this?? Luckily there were no climbing cows this weekend...

Then the day after the last post, we brought Number One Son up to help....sort of:

We managed to pass through Amsterdam on our way home about 20 minutes ahead of the tornado last Sunday... Really, it seems like a Bugs Bunny opera lately: Huwwicanes! Fwoods! Tornadoes! Earthqwakes!
But we've gotten through it all with no worse than slightly soggy headers.
Today we went up and got a whole lot done: most of the loft joists are now in place. Tomorrow we hope to throw in a bit of wall framing too, so I will post what we have now and take more pictures tomorrow.
